As the Director of Marketing at Direct Energy Solar, you’ll be responsible for creating brand awareness, engaging audiences, and driving sales through online and offline marketing channels. You’ll report to the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) and be part of a bigger team, which includes the Director of Sales, the Director of Operations, and the Regional Director of Sales.
Day-to-Day Duties
Your day-to-day duties will include creating compelling content to drive traffic to our websites and social media channels, supporting the Marketing team with marketing analytics, and delivering marketing performance and ROI. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining our social media platforms, producing digital marketing materials, and pitching marketing campaigns. For a truly full-stack role, we’re also looking for someone to cover production for our online and offline marketing materials.
Marketing Performance
You’ll be measured on a weekly and monthly basis against set goals and metrics. In addition, you’ll be responsible for measuring the success of our marketing efforts and informing the CMO of any inefficiencies so that they can make improvements. You’ll also be responsible for generating new leads, qualifying existing leads, and boosting web traffic to achieve set goals.
Digital Marketing Specialties

Marketing Analytics
No one person can possess full dominion over all marketing analytics. However, someone with a good eye for numbers and a thorough understanding of marketing analytics and how to utilize it to advantage will be able to wield this power. If you’re responsible for marketing analytics at your company, you’ll be analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns, identifying customer demographics, and predicting buying behavior to better target future marketing efforts. You’ll need to know how to analyze digital marketing data, such as pageviews, social media shares, and website traffic to gain a full picture of how well our marketing strategies are performing and to identify ways to improve them.
Web Analytics
The person holding this specialty will be responsible for keeping track of the web traffic to our various websites, blogs, and social media accounts. You’ll need to have a good understanding of how people are finding our websites and the ways in which they’re interacting with our content. This person will also be responsible for keeping track of our websites’ performance, measuring impressions, clicks, and conversions as well as monitoring traffic, analyzing digital marketing data, and identifying trends.
Digital Marketing Performance
Those who specialize in this area will be responsible for ensuring our digital marketing efforts are generating the leads, engaging the right audiences, and prompting action. People working in this area will work with the sales team, gaining insight into customer behavior while also determining the effectiveness of our marketing strategies. This specialist will be required to work closely with the CMO and the rest of the marketing team to ensure our marketing activities are delivering the results we’re looking for.
