Today we learned much more about viruses. In particular, how they work and what their goals are.

Also, we learned about immune systems and the immune response.

The game, or simulation, was also very eye opening. It demonstrated the rapid growth of a disease, how travel affects viruses and how viruses change and why.

The immune system is indeed a magnificent tool that is imperative to man's survival. The bugs however are winning because they reproduce so rapidly, therefore they have the ability to adapt. Smaller animals tend to adapt better than larger animals.
