The second year was the year of the whale. That year Jeff got a windmill that pumps water to his house. I think he is trying to jump ahead too fast - I am enjoying the life I have. Jeff also has glass and silicon and is thinking about an engine but he does not get that this year. I think he is crazy to cut down as much of his forest just for modern equipment. The difference is I like a simple life and he does not. Aria finds a very unique flower that is the only one of its kind and it only grows on Footprint Island. (I do not know how we could know this, but Ken said we could.) Ivy wants a laptop and Ken gave her one for free but no power source. She is going to try to invent one. I think she is absolutely crazy to want a laptop out here. Christine turns our horse pasture into a garden because we gave our horse to Jeff. We also got chickens for her to take care of. I'm making rope for our whaling boat. We went whaling and got a whale that was 20 feet long. It was that small because we had a small boat and only 3 people went - Ivy, Jeff and Aria. The year of the iris was a good year. We found a way to trade our irises. Aria wants to buy a cd player. I have no clue why we need a cd player on our island but we get one anyway. It costs quite a bit in our footprint. Jeff gets his beached whale - it is about 30 feet long and is part shark-eaten. Jeff also builds his sailboat to bring tourists to his island. I do not know why he wants tourists on his island, besides the money they will just ruin his island. The year of conflict started out pretty well - we all had enough food and water. But then Jeff wants to build a hotel with my forests and I fight it all the way. In the end he cuts half a forest and I sink his sailboat. Altogether it was a lot of fun. I think we will have had some changes but we would have stayed alive. This simulation was really good -I did not know what to think going into it, but it turned out to be lots of fun.
